Find what you love and let it kill you.

Hi everyone,

Well well well, things have been dull in this blogworld lately. Poor CMAN, nothing worth distracting you from the law of the world.

Speaking of which, I didn't write my LSAT. Again. February. Right. February. I was supposed to go on Saturday but I didn't. I don't feel nearly as guilty as I expected (just a little) since I seemed to have attained a lovely balance in my life for the first time in a very long time.

The Release show was great. No shirts were taken off, everyone played awesome, and a great crowd. I don't know what else to say, but I couldn't have asked for more. Well, other than that police man who gave poor philly a ticket when he was loading his gear for literally 2 minutes.

J: We are musicans and he is just loading his gear. We just played a show.
Badcop: I don't care, no parking-- baracade!!!
J:What? What barricade?!
Badcop: Open your FU**IN eyes!! DOWN THERE!
J: *jaw drop*

What do you do when a cop swears at you?? Well, I had a brief moment of shock and then returned the gesture. Suffice to say, I'm a bit suprised that no one ended up in the paddy wagon, althouh Ed did get the copper's badge number.

On Friday, Niall and I hit up my work party, and gazed at mountains of fine cheese that would probably pay off all our debts combined. We ate a lot of cheese and a fine meal and then I headed to stage neige for the Windom Earle soundcheck, full of brandy and cheese, respectively. I realized that I did not know the songs, so I went home, played the set through twice (full of cheese and brandy)and then returned to play the show-- which I might add, was totally SO MUCH FUN. Stephen asked me to be a part of a new secret project. I'm excited (and it's not really that secret).

Saturday, I went to the Marquee because my sweetie was opening for...*choke* In Flight Safety. Now readers, you know that this band has fallen under my criticism more than once. In preparation for this event I watched their video on their myspace. How bad could it be??

Two thumbs down, shit in face.

Key word re video: awkward
Key word re song: boring
Key word re performance: affected.

Sorry dudes. I hear you're nice and all but please quit boring everybody (and by everybody I mostly mean real musicans/musical appreciators who understand what boring is). You can do better.

To be fair, I didn't stay for their performance, so what do I know. But those lights looked fancy. They very well could have saved everything, including the world and boring song-writing.

Over and outs.
